Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Chedr accessible to everyone
Chedr is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all of our users.
Conformance Status
WCAG 2.1 Level AA Compliant
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Chedr is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.
Accessibility Features
Keyboard Navigation
Our entire platform can be navigated using only a keyboard, without requiring a mouse. All interactive elements are accessible via Tab key navigation, and skip links allow you to bypass repetitive navigation.
Screen Reader Compatible
We've tested our platform with popular screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver to ensure all content and functionality is accessible to users who rely on assistive technology.
Color Contrast
All text and interactive elements meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA color contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, ensuring readability for users with low vision or color blindness.
Clear Focus Indicators
All interactive elements display a visible focus indicator when navigated to via keyboard, making it easy to see where you are on the page.
Alternative Text
All images include descriptive alternative text that conveys the same information or functionality as the visual content.
Form Accessibility
All form fields include proper labels, error messages are announced to screen readers, and validation feedback is provided in multiple ways (not just color).
